3.5 Stars Hmm, I don’t know... I had such high hopes for this one because I’m a huge fan of men-in-uniform romances. Here's what worked for me in this book: Hero – Hot, dimples, animal in bed, badass, strong, brave, loyal, protective, caring, a bit broken and vulnerable. Enough said. Secondary characters - I loved everything about the tactical unit and the hstage situations (however wrong that may sound), especially the interactions among Hetch’s friends. And I really hope each of them gets his 3.5 Stars Hmm, I don’t know... I had such high hopes for this one because I’m a huge fan of men-in-uniform romances. Secondary characters - I loved everything about the tactical unit and the hstage situations (however wrong that may sound), especially the interactions among Hetch’s friends. And I really hope each of them gets his own book. What didn’t work for me: Storyline - Too predictable. The book started off great but then around the middle of the book I got bored, like really, really bored. Maybe it’s the predictability. Maybe it's the fact that I’m not a fan of books where the hero pushes the heroine away because he thinks she’s better off without him (*rolls eyes*). Maybe it's the fact that the relationship between the hero and the heroine needed more depth. Or maybe I just wasn't in the right mood. All in all, this isn’t the best book I’ve read in this genre but it’s not among the worst either. It’s an okay read which I did like, hence 3 stars. The hero’s friends were the highlight of the story and I’m really looking forward to the next books in this series. ****6 sweetheart stars**** What a pleasant surprise this book was! It grabs you from the very first page and takes you on the ride of your life! The romance between Liberty and Hetch is hot, tension-filled, and very sweet. It's amazing how the romance doesn't suffer in the midst of all the suspense, but it doesn't. I savored each word of every page thoroughly. Hetch is the leader of a SWAT team, an elite unit used to resolve high-risk situations such as hostage rescue and riot control. I savored each word of every page thoroughly. Hetch is the leader of a SWAT team, an elite unit used to resolve high-risk situations such as hostage rescue and riot control. He is trained to face dangerous and life-threatening situations. He’s fearless, honest and loyal. He enjoys bonding with his teammates at a local bar and having sex with women without attachment. He’s also haunted by his father’s suicide right in front of his eyes, an event that has led to severe emotional and psychological trauma. Liberty works with at-risk youth dealing with anger, violence, delinquency and other teen behavior problems. She is caring, strong, persistent, loving and selfless. After a messy break-up, she moves to a new place which is safer and closer to town. Everything is perfect, except for the paper thin walls due to which she is able to hear her neighbor next door having very noisy sex o_O !!! One night, Liberty and Hetch meet at a bar and the passion between them heats up. Imagine their surprise when they realize that Hetch is actually Liberty’s naughty neighbor!! Her growing attraction to Hetch is a little too much to handle. Even knowing that, she can't help falling in love with the tough SWAT chief and losing herself in the games they play in the bedroom. Hetch is overwhelmed by his need for her. Unfortunately, painful memories of his father and life threatening situations at work will make it difficult for him to keep his relationship in balance. The sexual chemistry and heat coming off the pages should have set the book alight. Hetch’s passion run deep and hard. I had to fan myself a time or two. Everything about this book worked, on so many levels. The characters (even the secondary ones) felt real and well-rounded. The bond that the SWAT men had with each other was truly special. Also, I smiled a lot during this book!! In my opinion this story had the perfect build. It was realistic and heartwarming, at times heartbreaking. Yes, I did tear up in a few spots. Ms. Savage really knows how to create a story that sucks you in and has you feeling all those emotions right along with the characters. This is a thrill ride you don’t want to get off!! I absolutely loved it! ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.

Told in dual POV'S ( Thirty-two year old Hetch & Thirty year old Liberty) This book like previous books by this author is so easy to get into we're first introduced to "Liam Hetcherson" aka Hetch during one of his psych evaluations. Hetch is a highly trained swat team leader and has been for the past two years, an elite unit used in high risk situations such as riots and hostage rescue. Liberty Jenson works at "Boys Haven" as a youth worker a group home for at risk young teenagers These two unknown to the other live right next door Paper thin walls, the sounds of moaning, the screams, the grunts, the hot wild filthy sex, her neighbor has a revolving door of woman in his bed nightly in apartment nine. The screams The deep grunts of pleasure I wanted it all I wanted it to be me One woman who swears she is on a sabbatical (no men, no sex for six months) a vibrator doesn't count though does it if its not penetrated? One night pleasuring herself with her trusty vibrator, hearing a deep rumble through the paper thin walls. Then her not so quiet release A muffled F#ck woman, wait for me next time. through the wall They don't officially meet until out one night at their local pub. “Liam Hetcherson. Hetch. Ugghh, even his name is worthy of abandoning a sex ban. Hetch is a badass. A sexy-as–sin badass. I’m officially ruined.” You crashed into my life with your jacked-up vibrator, and your inappropriate notes, and you saved me. You saved me when I didn’t know I needed saving. A one night stand that never happened because once it's apparent that these two are neighbors it is hilarious!! Know that vibrator of yours must be some heavy duty machinery 'cause some nights, baby, I swear I can feel the vibration through the wall. Hetch. He’s like glasses Like when someone doesn’t know their vision isn’t perfect. They think they can see fine. But the moment they put those glasses on for the first time, they see everything so clearly, so vivid. They realize how much detail and beauty they’ve been missing. That’s Hetch. He’s my glasses MY THOUGHTS This is totally out of the norm with what I've expected or read from this author previously with her biker series, so uniquely unexpected, I was captivated, hooked, once I started this I could not for the life of me put it down, I loved every second, minute, hour spent reading this, there is nothing I would change about this book, I loved both leading characters, the outside characters that were introduced also stole a piece of my heart and I can't wait to see where this series is going to take me. What's not to love about this book, this unique captivating storyline grabs your full attention as soon as you start it, such an effortless smooth reading style, gods this author has got talent, I've loved every book I've read of hers and this book is no different, the characters just pull you in further. Hetch this man had my heart melting, if his job wasn't hot enough it's his alpha domineering personality which this author captured on paper perfectly had me as soon as he opened his cocky mouth. Let me just say that I loved how this didn't grasp that insta kind of love concept, these two characters were so funny at times, heart warming at others, their interaction was so believable, their chemistry was real, sparks flew and tempers flared from the outset but their hearts flamed.. *Teasers throughout this review used are off the authors Facebook page*

Well more ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review If you have read a River Savage book before, then you are familiar with her Knights Rebels MC Series where her stories are a bit gritty, violent, and raw. And so when I found out River Savage was writing a new series, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on HETCH and see what Ms. Savage has in store for her readers and the new direction this series will take on. HETCH, the first book in the Men of Swat Series was a complete surprise. Well more like an amazing surprise. As much as I love reading River’s Knights Rebels MC Series, it was so refreshing to read a book that deals with a group of SWAT team members and the life that they have to endure. While I am used to the gritty and violent nature of River’s MC series, I loved that River Savage has managed to mesmerized her readers with the pull of raw emotions and tackling a sensitive issue of suicide. Liam Hetcherson is part of a tactical unit in the POLICE department. As a member of SWAT, his job entails him to put his life on the line in order to protect civilians. As a tough man, he has this hard exterior who tries to keep his emotions in check since he knows and has experienced loss first hand. Liam Hetcherson knows what it is like to not be able to save someone you love and so he keeps his inner turmoil bottled up. Liberty Jenson is a social worker director who works for an at risk home for young boys. Liberty loves her job and tries her best to help these young men find a purpose and drive in life. While Liberty loves her profession, her love life is pretty much non-existent that is until she finds herself getting acquainted with her neighbor, Liam “Hetch” Hercherson. “He pulls back slightly, his eyes flash with confusion, before flicking back to hunger. Then his lips lock back to mine, diving his tongue back in my mouth and branding me like he owns me. It’s like being thirsty on a hot day, and downing a bottle of water in twenty seconds. You swallow every last drop, suck every bit of air until you’re out of breath. Only then are you satisfied, fulfilled. Relieved. That’s what kissing Hetch is like.” Hetch and Liberty didn’t realized that they were neighbors who shared a very thin wall. So you can imagine, Liberty can hear all the casual hook-ups that Hetch brings into his bedroom and Hetch can hear Liberty’s effort to self pleasuring herself. And so when these two finally discovered that they were neighbors when they meet for the very first time, sexual tension was radiating off these two. And soon all the sexual tension couldn’t be contained any longer once they shared a fiery hot passionate kiss. One kiss lead them to be tangled in the sheets and the rest was history. As much as Hetch and Liberty were compatible in the bedroom, Hetch was still struggling with his inner turmoil with his father’s suicide. Will Liberty be able to save Hetch and free him of his burdens? “Fuck me. If I wasn’t so opposed to love, I think I could find myself falling for her.” HETCH was one of those sexy emotional reads that packed the right amount of emotions, heat, chemistry and love to pull readers into understanding the tangible bond between Liam and Liberty. Both Liam and Liberty’s job were to save people but together, they were able to save each other in more ways than one. I love the chemistry and different direction that River Savage took with this book. She allowed readers to feel for her characters and see below the surface of their vulnerability, raw emotions and love. So if you are looking for a book that was exceptionally well written that is filled with depth, steam, understanding, new beginnings, healing and love then I urge you to read HETCH and meet the MEN of SWAT. If you were to group Hetch into the world of romance then you would be very mistaken. This book wasn't just a romance, it had a lot more depth than that. Exploring his life living with PTSD, and the affects it has on him, took over the book and made it very captivating. Hetch was witness to a tragic event that he now can't get out of his head. In order to be the leader of his SWAT team he has to learn to live with the past and move forward. Sleeping with as many women as he can, and drinking, aren't the ways to solve his issues, though. Things change one night when he hears his next door neighbor using her vibrator through the shared wall of their bedrooms. After that night he was determined to get to know his neighbor, and her trying to avoid him only made him want her more. But he never expected for her to be the game changer, the woman that makes him want more than a one night stand. I really wasn't expecting this book to take me on the emotional journey that it did, but it was a pleasant surprise. Hetch was the one of the best, and well written, Heroes that I've read. I loved that he had this damaged side to him but he was still a badass. My heart melted for him and I wanted to be the one to hold him and make him realize everything would be okay. It's not too often that a character comes across my kindle that I just can't stop loving, but Hetch was one of them. I like Liberty and her need to help those less fortunate than her. It made for a strong character, especially when she wouldn't back down from fighting for those she cared about. Her and Hetch made the perfect couple, in my opinion. There were also a lot of other characters that were in the book that had me very curious about their stories. So hopefully they will all get a book too! Overall, this was a great start to a new series by this author. I've only read her MC books before this but I was happy with what she delivered and can't wait for more. I already have the characters that I'm dying to learn about so fingers crossed they're next!

We go on a journey with these charcters from the good to the down right ugly, all the way to finish line and pray like heck they get their happily ever after. We believe so much in these characters and their fight, that we sometimes forget our own reality and stay in their world. That's what a good book does. Liam "Hetch" Hetcherson is the Captain of his Swat Team. Trained to handle even the most dangerous situations, his work life is nothing compared to his personal one. Hanging out with his buddies amd screwing a random chick from time to time is his way of decompressing his stress. What he's not a fan of is his thin ass apartment walls and when you're banging the way he does? You do NOT want to be his neighbor. Liberty has decided to swear off men. For the next six months her only companion will be her trusty vibrator. While getting to know herself, *coughs*,she's rudely interrupted by her neighbor who thinks they should meet each other. This does not go over well and unbeknowest to them, they end up meeting in each other in a very funny way that had me laughing out loud and shaking my head. Those two together had me turning the page so fast, just so I could read what was going to happen next. Suffering a tragic loss has left Hetch a shell of a person on the inside. On the outside, he has everything under control and he's trying really hard to get back to the person he once was. What he wasn't expecting was to fall for Liberty and having her change him in a way that felt natural and cathartic. But how long will Hetch be able to live in that bubble? They say time heals all wounds but in his case, he's gonna need more than that. I freakin LOVED this story. It was such a natural slow burn and we got to see how the relationship was built. Hetch and Liberty took their time with each other while building their own proffessional careers and making time for each other. This was a story about what it's like to lose someone and trying to find your own place in the world. How do you move on from that? And CAN you really move on? This author took this story and made it very unique. From the brotherhood of the team, to seeing how death can impact a loved one's life,"Hetch's journey will have you rooting for him. *Arc kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. I was exhilarated with seeing the different and parallel dynamics between Hetch and Liberty. They are two people from different worlds and collide beautifully and devastatingly together in a wonderfully crafted way.~~ Whereas one is this highly trained SWAT operative with a tragic past. Not to mention, has a very active nightlife that Liberty routinely overhears on the daily due to them being next door neighbors, although neither of them know each other.... Liberty, on the other hand, works with young teen boys who are on the edge of becoming a danger to themselves and those around them. She is snarky, she is bright, and she is very loyal. Most of all, she is not a fan of her neighbor's porno exploits. Now, imagine the horror after one unassuming one night together with a man of calls himself "Hetch," she comes to realize that he is the one and only culprit who both annoys and stars in all of her exotic fantasies... Oh, the plot thickens!! haha. Dun, dun, dun!! For those of you pondering whether to read this, I would highly recommend this to you. Hetch is about love, loss, healing, self forgiveness and redemption, and learning how to cope and move forward. It was certainly a steamy read, but most of all, it was raw and it was honest. Can't wait for bk2!!

Not only is he insanely sexy and hot SWAT captain but he's kind and extremely caring. Only you wouldn't think that with the banging on the walls from his late night antics. He captured my heart very early on. I not only loved his dirty ways but I loved his real side. The side he didn't let anyone see. Until Liberty.  I love how River writes passionate strong heroines. Liberty is definitely both of those things and then some. She's caring and quite selfless. Always putting everyone first and not expecting anything in return.  Her job with troubled youth really touched me. I loved that so much about her! Hetch is definitely in for a ride with Lib. She gives as good as she gets and expects nothing less. Stubborn and fierce to the max! She's no doormat.  I freaking loved this book so much! There was so much humor and a few parts where I thought I was going to piss myself from laughing so hard. It was amazing. River completely outdone herself with this book. Do not miss out! If you're looking for an alpha male with a kick as heroine look no further than right here. I'd give this book 10 stars if I could!

And my opinion of this book is really *.!?&/ç ... yeah, don't really know how to tell you. I'll keep it short: (because time's too precious...) I hate Hetch. OMG, what a douche. He's not Hero material, at all! I was so ready to fall in love with this story, because let me tell you, the blurb hooked me! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. But reality came knocking at my door. I didn't want to open, but it pushed her way right trough. Hetch is a total man-whore. As I get older and read more books I find myself hating male characters who just jump from woman to woman just to satisfy their needs. And then discharging said woman like a used tissue. We get to hear all about his conquests. And our heroin does too. Was it supposed to be funny, that she could hear them trough the wall? Well for me it was just annoying. Then we have Liberty. I can't get a read of this woman. I don't like her but I don't hate her either. She does a great job at the Boys Heaven but that's about it. Her character left me cold. And her self proclaimed sabbatical.. really? No comment from me here. Her best friend, aka sister-in-law, was just weird. She was in Libertys face all the time! And I hate such "friends". But the main problem for me was the couple. Why are they attracted to each other? Because of their looks? Come on, you need more! I just can't see them together. They have nothing in common. Hetch is attracted to her sassiness and her bitching. They just hook up, and then Liberty gets these feelings from him. But the problem is Hetch doesn't want to fall in love, and he just concentrates on the physical aspects on their relationship. Feelings get hurt. Yada yada yada. Last thing, and then I'm finished. Hetch gets all angry about Libertys accusation in front of his sister. Really? How can he be so cruel? And then the scene that follows this shouting match? Yeah. Right there I quit. Finito.

This story had just what I needed. I really enjoyed the characters who were in their thirties. They and their occupation felt authentic and so did the dialogue. I loved how humble she was and that she thoroughly loved her job as a youth worker. She dedicated herself to it. Also her loyalty towards her friends. Liam Hetcherson was an interesting, flawed and broken man but kept his struggles to himself with the help of alcohol and women. When Liberty and Hetch crashed together it created sparks instantly. I felt connected and invested myself in them and their story. There was so much heat between them. I loved them together whether it was casually or sexually. Hetch's teammates were interesting as well and their bantering among them was funny and felt real. Their friendship proved to be very important to Hetch but also to Liberty. I was really intrigued by all the men and hope I'll get know their stories. Savage's writing and the pace of the story flowed flawlessly. Her other books are definitely on my radar now. 5 BadAssDirtySweetheartStars

3.75 stars this was an enjoyable start to a new series by this author. it's a bit different to what we are used to from her and in a good way. nice amount of suspense, action and smutty but still fluffy romance. all done and presented in a great combination and flow to the story. although it could be cliché at times, i liked it and look forward to seeing more from this brotherhood and other side characters as the series continues on.

The banter between them through this scene and what ensues directly after was OUTSTANDING!! I loved how Liberty didn't crumble under the sexy arrogance that was Hetch. Not only did I LOVE these two together but the other characters stole my heart as well and I so want more of them....Fox, Payton (UGH...her husband was such a tool), Arabella, Sterling, Dakota, Hart, and Tate. I also loved the relationship that developed between Mitch and Hetch. The friendship and teasing between Hetch and the rest of the SWAT team pulled me right in. Loved these guys. Another of my favorite parts is when Liberty meets Hetch's mom...hysterical!!!! And how could I forget the opening scene with the extremely thin bedroom walls that separated Hetch's and Liberty's apartments. And what a sweet ending...has me wanting the next book right now!! So good!! HETCH was a great start to the series. It was full of laughter, love, heartbreak, sorrow, healing, forgiveness, and enough hot steamy sex to satisfy!! I enjoyed it so very much. **ARC obtained for review. Thank you so much as it was truly my pleasure to read!!

Liam Hetcherson works as a SWAT team leader. He’s full of humor and life. But, he’s also broken after having witnessing a family member taking their own life. This stays with him and he can’t shake it. Waking up with nightmares more nights than not, he suffers from PTSD. It’s not good for the job he’s in, and it’s just not good for him. And, after her last Liam Hetcherson works as a SWAT team leader. He’s full of humor and life. But, he’s also broken after having witnessing a family member taking their own life. This stays with him and he can’t shake it. Waking up with nightmares more nights than not, he suffers from PTSD. It’s not good for the job he’s in, and it’s just not good for him. Liberty Jenson loves her job. She works as a youth counselor at a boys’ group home. She’s not always had the best luck with relationships. And, after her last boyfriend cheats on her, she’s giving up men for six months. Let me know how that works out! When she first encounters “Hetch”, allbeit through her paper thin wall as she’s having a private moment with her very own personal orgasmic pleasurement toy, she’s totally mortified. What must he think of her, even though he’s had his fill in the sex department as he’s paraded numerous woman in and out of his apartment night after night? As they get to know each other after finally meeting face to face at the local bar, Hetch just knows that she’s different than the rest and can’t get her off of his mind. And, Liberty, still has that celibacy declaration of six months hanging over her head. Should she take a chance on Hetch and abandon her current status of sexual tension? Oh, boy, this was one HOT book! These two really get it on, and it’s explosive! I had to laugh at some of the things that they got caught doing. Yikes! Embarrassment city!! But, besides the off-the-charts sex, there’s a real story here. It mostly concerns Hetch and his past, but Liberty is right there helping him cope with the after effects. She’s definitely a smart and caring young woman. While Hetch through time accepts her help, it’s the way that they finally get to that step that climaxes within the story. It’s sad and painful to read, but it just fortifies their current relationship more. Two great characters that had a loving support system with friends and family as they went through some pretty heavy life-altering circumstances.. This was a great book to start off the series! Looking forward to the next book in the series... “I realize I can do anything when I’m with you, sweetheart. The darkness seems a little less dark, the pain is a little more manageable, and the clutter...the clutter fades and what’s left behind is the beauty of the moment. So yes, I know it’s soon. But you’re mine, and I’m not letting you go ever again.” ~ Hetch (Chap. 42)

Explosive, emotional, and enticing, Hetch hitches itself to your head and heart and never lets go. Sexy. Suspenseful. Soul-searing. A story of life, love, and loss, Hetch touches deep inside, pulling all of the feels. Sadness. Anger. Hope. Happiness. You’re embedded in this tale every. Step. Of. The. Way. I was a bit nervous yet excited to meet River Savage’s newest novel, Hetch. It is not an MC book. I repeat: Hetch is NOT an MC book. What?!? The Queen of MC ditched the Knights for something Explosive, emotional, and enticing, Hetch hitches itself to your head and heart and never lets go. Sexy. Suspenseful. Soul-searing. I was a bit nervous yet excited to meet River Savage’s newest novel, Hetch. It is not an MC book. I repeat: Hetch is NOT an MC book. What?!? The Queen of MC ditched the Knights for something else?!? I trust River Savage and love her captivating writing. However, I am full of mixed emotions as I begin this new adventure—blindly—choosing to ditch the synopsis and fly freely. What a ride this story was…a different kind of adrenaline rush for this River Savage MC whore. The dedication brings tears to my eyes and I haven’t even dived into the book. Since it may indicative of what’s to come, I grab a bunch of tissues from my purse as I’m on a plane where many may see me bawl like a baby. I can already tell Hetch is not going to be as feisty, fierce, and funny as River’s MC books. No, this story is going to be heavier on the heart with a bigger message…so much bigger. I could feel the difference. Liam ‘Hetch’ Hetcherson. Dark blond hair. Stubble. Green eyes. Tall. Muscular. All alpha. Cynical. Broken. Sarcastic. I fell in insta-love with Hetch. I want to wrap my arms around this broken man and tell him it will be okay. Liberty Jenson. Blonde. Blue eyes. Beautiful. On a sex sabbatical. No men and no sex for six months. Though her neighbor in Apartment 9 gives her quite the porn star show. Those thin walls…so hot that she wants in on the action. “It was wrong. So wrong. But it didn’t stop me from wanting it. The screams. The deep grunts of pleasure. I wanted it all. I wanted it to be me.” At a bar out with her friends one night, it’s insta-chemistry when Hetch and Liberty see each other across the room. Electricity shoots through the air as they banter a bit, making the meeting powered with more steam. While Liberty is still in sans sex mode, a kiss with this alluring alpha can’t hurt, especially when Hetch is already staking claim to her lips and other parts. “Been thinking about owning these lips since the second I saw them. So f**king perfect.” Roar! Hetch is a beast who takes what he wants. He is a predator and Liberty is his prey. He has never wanted anyone so much. Once Liberty finds out Hetch is the porn star with his amateur show in Apartment 9, all bets are off. Liberty won’t be one of the bevy of beauties parading in his apartment, night after night. She won’t be a pump-and-dump gal. Liberty may be angry and feel betrayed, but she still can’t get that powerful kiss out of her mind. That kiss that stole her breath. Her body. Everything. “It’s like being thirsty on a hot day, and downing a bottle of water in twenty seconds. You swallow every last drop, suck every bit of air until you’re out of breath. Only then are you satisfied, fulfilled. Relieved. That’s what kissing Hetch is like.” Hetch can’t even think about another woman…even for a quick lay. Liberty has invaded his head. His body wants more of hers, and his heart may fall hostage soon. “She’s under my skin. The only problem is, I don’t have time to sit there and pick her out.” Liberty is warming up to Hetch, and even thinking about giving in to her traitorous body and ending that sex sabbatical with this man who seems to already own her. “It’s never been like this before. Never so intense. Never so raw.” I love their chemistry, sometimes a battle of wills as both are fierce fighters who don’t want to surrender. Those kisses spark heat and speak like Hetch and Liberty can’t. “Her taste invades my mouth as I sweep my tongue over hers, controlling the smartness right out of it.” “No woman has ever managed to turn me on and piss me off at the same time.” Just as they get closer with Liberty slowly luring Hetch out of the dark, Hetch leaves as fast as the wind. His painful past is an anchor, weighing him down. A storm, threatening to damage everything and everyone he loves. “I don’t think I can see you anymore, Liberty….I don’t do relationships.” Liberty has never wanted to get close to a man…until Hetch. This beautiful but broken man changed her. She may be the light to his dark, but he has opened Liberty up like a flower, something that no one has ever done. They are soul mates. Fate thrust this couple together and now threatens to tear them apart. “He is hurting me. He’s hurting us. And I’m not sure if we can come back from it.” Hetch is full of heat and heart in what is in River Savage’s best book yet. Jesse was my favorite Savage alpha until Hetch hooked on to my heart. I love Hetch who is the perfect guy. He takes what he wants, but being the badass alpha with a big heart, you want to give it to him. Give him everything. He possesses and permeates like an addiction of the best kind. This story seduced me. Hetch stole every moment, every thought, and every feeling. So raw and so real, I was catapulted into this brilliant, broken, and beautiful book and did not want to leave. Hetch is devastatingly beautiful and a story that must be experienced. This story is so much more than a hot and protective alpha and sassy lady who falls under his spell. Hetch embraces the meaning and value of life. Five sensational SWAT stars

I mean, I'm sitting here reading, minding my own business, and then its like I can see what's about to happen, and I'm just waiting for it and I know it's gonna be epic hilarity! And of course it is. I literally had to set my kindle aside because I was laughing so hard. ❤ So for the characters. We have Liberty, who is a youth home worker. Straight away I like her because in real life, it takes a special person to do that kind of job. She's recently broken up with her ex and has moved into a new apartment. Oh, and she's on a self imposed no sex sabbatical. HA! Liam "Hetch" Hetcherson is on the SWAT team, he's a hot shot on and off the job. He's got some demons he's avoiding by either getting drunk off his ass or screwing. I already mentioned that when these two meet its just awesomeness. They had amazing chemistry, even when bickering. I loved them together. ❤ The thing I loved most about this book, it seriously had a little bit of everything I love in a book. A freaking great story line, one that kind of actually surprised me with how great it was. There was a few things going on at once, but not in a confusing kind way. The writing was awesome. There was a lot of humor, which I love, as well as some mega steamy scenes, which I also love ;) There was a little drama, and when the h/h go through their relationship drama, you know, the one where they are apart then make up and get back together, I liked that it was a realistic reason to be apart. As in, I could see that happening in real life, and it wasn't a half ass excuse on either party's part. I also like that when the get back together, which was an edge of your seat reunion I might add, they acknowledged they still had some things to work through. I just really felt like this book was done in an awesome and realistic way, but still had that romantic feel to it. I also need to mention that I really liked all the supporting characters as well. They were all peeps I 'd love to read about. I don't know how to explain it, but I LOVED this book. When I finished it I literally had to hold myself back from restarting from the beginning. I know I'll definitely be rereading it soon. And I seriously can't wait for more books in this series! Especially Fox.

I have to agree with my co-reviewer; this cover photo is a fantastic representation of Hetch and a particular scene in the story. Hetch is a SWAT team leader that is dealing with the aftermath of his father’s death. This is made harder by the fact that some aspects of his job forces that pain to the surface. Liberty works with troubled teen boys; she really puts her all into it and gets attached easily. Liberty has moved into a new apartment and is on a sabbatical from men. All is going well I have to agree with my co-reviewer; this cover photo is a fantastic representation of Hetch and a particular scene in the story. Liberty works with troubled teen boys; she really puts her all into it and gets attached easily. Liberty has moved into a new apartment and is on a sabbatical from men. All is going well until she starts getting disturbed by her naughty neighbour. I won’t spoil this scene but I really loved it. It was hot, funny, and a great intro to the story. Hetch and Liberty’s face to face meet was entertaining and I really enjoyed their banter. Of course they can’t fight their attraction and can’t keep their hands off each other. If you love a good alpha story then you know Hetch starts feeling possessive right away but his path to loving Liberty is hard because of his demons. I really liked the inclusion of Mitch into the story and how well Hetch and Liberty worked at helping him. Liberty was hard for me to take at times because she had the TSTL syndrome that a lot of book heroines have. I had a few instances where I was seriously frustrated with her arguing and then doing things that would put her at risk. I think the author did a great job with Hetch’s storyline and how he dealt with his father’s death. You actually see how much this affected him all the way to him working on his issues. Some authors would have brushed over this and left holes in story but I think it was done well. I am already looking forward to future books in the series because I would like to see how a few of the couple’s stories play out. Ms. Savage has a great flow to her writing that captures your attention right away and keeps me turning the pages. Well done! *copy provided to The Dirty Book Girls for review*

Once is fair enough but twice in the same book.......? Oh come on! This book sounded like a perfect read to me and had it not been for the dragging out of the break up, make up, break up, make up scenario, oh and that ridiculous paranormal element slipped in it would have been a 5 star read for me as I loved everything else about it. Such a bloody shame it didn't need the filler chapters in my opinion.

As soon as I knew this book was written by River Savage, I had no doubt that it would give me an all-feeling, intensely heated and emotionally gripping story that I wouldn’t soon forget. And you know what, I was definitely right with those thoughts. Hetch was an all-consuming read that packed the perfect level of mesmerizing heat and connection, heartfelt and thoughtfully crafted emotion, and two characters that seared themselves to my heart from the very first moment I met them. Now it’s no secret that I am a huge fan of River Savage. I have read and loved all of her books, and they have all given me some phenomenal reading experiences, along with some pretty unforgettable characters. When I sit down to read a book of hers I know it will pack one helluva story that will have me on the edge of my seat feeling and experiencing it all through every page. I also know that her writing will completely encapsulate me within her story, her world, and with her characters in a way that feels so real, so raw and authentic, and just so wonderful. Hetch was no different, and I was blown away by what I got within the pages of this book. Hetch and Liberty’s story in this book was mesmerizing and emotionally intense to say the least. I felt every single word of it as they tried to figure out what in the world they were doing with one another. Experiencing what it was like for those two to find each other, feel for one another, and fall oh so wonderfully hard for one another was everything, and I loved every moment I got with them in this book. Hetch is the first book in River Savage’s Men of S.W.A.T. series, and I have to tell you that I am already loving this series something fierce. This series opens up the world of this brotherhood that bursts with loyalty, grit, and a sense of connection that is unyielding in the best way. I loved getting to know all of the new characters of this series, and getting to experience their memorable personalities throughout this book. River Savage has a true talent with giving you supporting characters that are so wonderfully distinctive, and this book is no different. I got to know and fall in love with the many members of Hetch’s SWAT Unit, as well as the girlfriends that Liberty has. I can’t wait to get to know each and every one of them more as this series continues. Something tells me they all have some serious stories to tell, and I’ve already got grabby hands just thinking about what’s to come. I have to say that one of my favorite aspects of Hetch was the evolution of Liberty and Hetch’s relationship. It never felt rushed or force, it just felt right. Those two share one intense and incredible connection that will have you mesmerized in no time, and everything you experience with them in this book heightens that and every feeling they start to share. After meeting in a quite memorable way, these two can’t seem to stay away from one another, and despite them both having their trepidations, they soon start to feel something way more than either of them bargained for. What initially started out as fun, soon turns into something very real and raw and heartfelt. That scares Liberty and Hetch a bit, or a lot, but at the same time it shows them what they just might be able to have together, if they only give it all a chance and let themselves embrace the feelings they have. Hetch definitely goes through a seriously emotional journey, and River Savage let me experience every ounce of that with him. She let me understand him, she put me in some very tough moments with him, and she let me feel that emotional struggle he was having as he tried to overcome the emotional trauma of his past and its ramifications. She just really allowed me to get him on every level possible, and that made everything he was going through in this book that more real, that more intense, and that more connected to what I was feeling for him. Hetch is definitely a force to be reckoned with, and he has this way about him that will simultaneously make you blush and melt and fall like crazy for him, but at the same time you will feel for him immensely. So many of the events in this book push his character, both mentally and emotionally, and they make him realize and experience some not so easy things. Being with him through all of that placed that man in my heart, and I just loved him so much. I felt for him, I cared, and I just wanted him to make it through, and all of that connection was possible because of how phenomenally River Savage created his character. River Savage knows how to write a female character with some sass and fire, and Liberty was no different. I absolutely loved her character, and I loved that she was not afraid to do what she thought she needed to or what was right. She also wasn’t afraid to push Hetch’s buttons or to call him on his shit, and I had some major respect for her with that. What I loved about Liberty was that she was just such an easy character to love and relate to. She was kind, thoughtful, and she had a spunk that never failed to bring a smile to my face. At the same time, she was so genuine and real, and she was so invested in the work she was doing for her boys. Seeing and experiencing the true goodness of her just had my heart going to her in no time, and had me hoping with all I had that her and Hetch would be able to find a way to make it all through. Liberty is no wilting flower, and the fire, strength, and determination she had emanated from the pages of this book in the most memorable way with her. Liberty and Hetch share a connection that just doesn’t quit. From the first moment they meet, it fires off like crazy and continues to build in the most tension filled and heated way. The more those two were together, the more I wanted them to climb each other like trees, and the more I wanted them to explore the more they could share together. While Liberty and Hetch share a heated physical connection, I loved how deeply they felt towards one another. Their emotional connection was just as intense and just as visceral, and even though that connection scared them both so much because they didn’t know what to do with it, at the same time that connection gave them it all. Their connection was palpable, heartfelt, and all-feeling, and every moment with them in this book gives you that connection in the most incredible way. Throughout this story they struggle to figure out where that connection will take them, and while it isn’t always easy for the two of them, and while they have to work on the bumps in the road they face, you will have no doubt that their fight is highly worth it in every way possible. Like any book by River Savage, Hetch had some glorious twists and turns that had me one the edge of my seat the entire time. I love how she adds in the action and drama in a way that makes sense for the stories and the characters, and in a way that has my emotions going through the ringer just a bit. Every turn of the page in this book brought a new twist or turn, either in Liberty and Hetch’s relationship, or in the outside forces surrounding them. The more I read this book, the more I brought myself closer to that edge with all that happens, and the more my heart became invested in what I was reading with all of these characters. I never knew what they would all face next, but I had no doubt I would feel and experience every ounce of it, and that made this book so phenomenal to read. Hetch is an emotionally charged story of what happens when you meet that one person who puts you back together in ways you never knew possible. It’s about how the right person can give you things you never even knew you needed, and how they can give you it all, if you only open yourself and your heart up to them. This book is about feeling and living and loving with all that you have, and about letting go of that past that threatens to consume you, so that you can embrace that future that just might give you it all. I loved every bit of Hetch and Liberty’s story in this book. I loved what it made me feel, how it made me fall, and how it gave me their enrapturing story that was so full of meaningful emotion, and an intense and heart squeezing connection that just couldn’t be beat. Those two have a connection and a dynamic that bursts from the page, and I just couldn’t get enough of it. What they share and what they go through in this book together will have you feeling and caring for them both so much, and in the end you will just love them both to pieces. I know I did. I thought this was an outstanding first book in this new and enthralling series, and I can’t wait to get more time with these characters soon. I have a feeling this series will be one of my new favorites, and I have no doubt that River Savage will continue to blow me away with all she’s got as she brings The Men of S.W.A.T. to the my eagerly awaiting hands. Hetch was phenomenal in every way. I am telling you that you want this intense, enrapturing, and all-feeling book in your life as soon as possible, and I have no doubt that you will love Liberty and Hetch with all you’ve got!
