We go at each other hard all day in court, then we go at it harder all night in bed. And nothing about it isn’t awesome.” “And the prosecutor is your childhood friend, who you pretty much fell in love with when you were seventeen but didn’t see again for fourteen years?” … “That’s right.” WOW!!! This book was  fantastic !!! Emma Chase is one of the leading authors in contemporary romance and she consistently delivers a delightful balance of hilarious laugh-out-loud comedy mixed with hot, sexy, heart-warming romance that's guaranteed to make you swoon! I read this book in one sitting and loved everything about it!! A new top favorite recommendation!! The story starts off with a hilarious bang -- pun intended -- and seriously, the first chapter alone sells the book better than anything I can ever tell you. If you love the first chapter, you'll love the whole book. In true Emma Chase form, this book is told entirely from the male POV and let me tell you: IT. IS. PURE. GOLD!!!!! Ohhh, the win!! It's funny, witty, sarcastic, adorable, sexy, everything you could possibly want! This author's comedic timing is absolutely flawless, and her ability to bring emotional depth to light-hearted romance is exactly what makes so many readers fall in love with her books. Insults are our flirting. Arguing is our foreplay. One time, she was so worked up she hauled off and took a swing at me — and my reaction was a boner that couldn’t be denied. It’s not as twisted as it sounds. It works for us. This is actually a second chance romance. Over a decade ago, Brent and Kennedy were best friends. Then one amazing night brought them together... and then she was gone. Both of them nursing broken hearts. He never knew what happened to the girl he'd fallen for, and she spend years toughening her heart -- knowing that she'd never let anyone trample over it again. Once upon a time she was my best friend. For a hot minute, she was more. After that, she hated me. And then she was just… gone. I haven’t seen her for fourteen years, and the last time I did, she sure as shit didn’t look like this. “Kennedy…” I whisper, still not entirely convinced it’s her. She regards me with a tilted her, a cocked hip, and a disdainful smile. “Hello, Dickhead.” Okay. Now I’m convinced. When they finally meet again, it's on opposite ends of the courtroom -- as opposing lawyers on the same case. She's harboring years of anger towards him, and he doesn't haven't have the slightest clue why. But one thing he knows is that he's going to get to the bottom of it and win back the only girl he ever fell for. I look into the gorgeous eyes of the girl I’ve known my whole life, and my only thought is, what the hell took me so long to do this? I know that some people might consider Kennedy a little bit prickly but I actually adored her. Seriously. This girl had so much sass and fire. She was awesome! Even though she did sometimes take it a little far -- I still loved how feisty she was. To be honest, given what she thought happened so many years ago, I could really see where she was coming from. That level of hurt is bound to make a person a little cold and distant. But it was so clear to me that what she had was hurt, and nothing more. And who she really was underneath it was was genuinely wonderful and I loved her character. Luckily, so did Brent.... “What are you doing?” She turns sharply, like she wasn’t expecting me to wake up. “I have to get home. I have to shower and get ready for court.” With a yawn, I say, “Okay, I’ll drive you.” “Don’t bother. A cab will be faster.” Ahhhhh. Sweet, cuddly, open Kennedy has left the building. Defensive, jumpy, prickly-like-a-cactus Kennedy is in the house. Now Brent was an awesome hero. He was wealthy, but uninterested in living the pompus lifestyle his family indulged in. Rather, he worked hard every day and loved every minute. Incidentally, I know many of you like to read about wounded heroes -- and he only has one leg (childhood accident), but that's more of a side note, not really relevant to his personality. This guy had spend over a decade moving from one meaningless fling to another never understanding the real reason why he never wanted to give his heart away -- until Kennedy came back into his life and he realized that she still had it. She always had had it. “All these years, she’s never let anyone else in. She’s had her reasons, but the bottom line is, there hasn’t been any guy who’s gotten past her fire-breathing dragon. And what if… what if the reason I’ve never let myself fall in love with anyone is because I didn’t have anything to give? Because I’d already given my heart to her when we were seventeen years old? And all these years… I’ve just been waiting for her to come back to me with it.” This was such a fun, thrilling, sexy story as fifteen years of broken hearts, resentment, unresolved feelings, unrequited love, and sizzling chemistry came flooding back into their lives. Seriously, this is one of the few stories that actually managed to twang my heart strings and make me almost tear up in the same paragraph that just made me literally laugh out loud. Brilliant writing! “I don’t know why I’m here.” And she sounds genuinely bewildered — even a little panicked. “Obviously because I’m irresistible.” The wind blows, spraying ice cold drops across my bare skin where my shirt hangs open. “You’re shivering, honey, come inside.” She stares at me, so many emotions swirling in her expression. She’s like a skittish kitten who can’t decide if she should let the stranger pat her head or haul ass up the nearest tree. And it breaks my heart. Another thing I loved was that the sex and heat in this book was very well 'built up to' rather than just throwing it right in. It was sexy and intense because the story first developed their characters and relationship to a point where, once it was time for them to get together, it just felt right. When her eyes dip, I lift her chin. “If I could go back and change all of that, I would. But this is where we are now. We have to move forward. I’m in love with you. And if it takes a while for you to wrap your head around that — to wrap your heart around it — then I’ll wait. Because you’re worth waiting for. You always were.” Not to mention that all the romance is heavily laced with hilarious moments... “What’s your nickname”?” “BC.” She frowns, trying to figure it out. “Because your middle name is Charles?” I shake my head and tell her with the straightest face, “Big Cock.” The awesome thing about it is that it can easily be read as a standalone. It honestly doesn't matter whether or not you've read any other standalones in this series (Overruled - which I haven't read, or Sustained - which I have reviewed), you can just jump right into this one and be fine! Ohhh, there's this double epilogue at the end and the very last page seriously made me shed a happy tear — just gorgeous!!! I LOVED THIS BOOK  and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a light-hearted feel-good romance that'll just make you genuinely HAPPY!! This is definitely going to be a Top Favorite of 2016!! Rating: 4.5 -- 5 stars! Contemporary romantic comedy. __________________________ For more of my reviews, book news and updates: ✦ Main blog: Aestas Book Blog ✦ Facebook Blog Page ✦ Twitter ✦ Subscribe by email

She got to me forever ago - under my skin, into my heart - and she's been there, waiting, ever since. This was another FABULOUS series written by the amazing Emma Chase. Since OVERRULED, I have had a little crush on Brent and I have to say after having read this one I am seriously in love with him. APPEALED has two of my favorite tropes, friends to lovers, and second chance romance. Brent is the last of the crew to remain single. Even though he has a prosthetic leg, it doesn't stop him from being the ultimate ladies man. He's a serious charmer and sinfully sexy as well. He's never had the desire to commit to one woman, or truth be told, he hasn't been tempted since his high school years. All this changes when he runs into his old childhood friend, Kennedy Randolph. She was the "girl next door". They were the best of friends as children and for a brief moment in High School, they almost became something more, but a misunderstanding ended their romance before it even had a chance to blossom. Kennedy was a little geeky during their teenage years and had to deal with bullying, which Brent wasn't fully aware of at the time but he also didn't stand up for her back then. When they meet again, she has gone through a transformation which is making Brent's head spin, but even back when they were kids he was head over heels for her. Now they end up being on opposite sides of the court room. Kennedy is the prosecuting attorney in a case that Brent is working the defense for. Sparks fly instantly. There seems to be so much animosity on Kennedy's side that you know you are in store for some seriously STEAMY sex, and hell yes, it was panty melting HOT!!! Brent has never been able to get close to a woman because in the back of his mind he was comparing them all to Kennedy and they all came up lacking. Now that he has a chance with her, he will do anything to win her heart. The only problem is that Kennedy has had about the same social life as Brent. She has never gotten serious with any man and runs in the opposite direction when a man tries to tie her down. Things that hurt her in the past keep her from opening herself up to any potential heart break. Brent has his work cut out for him as far as Kennedy's concerned. The whole gang is back this last book in the series and I couldn't have been any happier. Stanton, Sofia, and Jake will be the voice of reason when Brent really needs them the most. I really love all these characters and am kind of sad to have to say goodbye to them now, but I am HIGHLY recommending it to all of you who have not picked up this series yet. You will NOT be disappointed. I know that I will read ANYTHING that Emma Chase writes. I am a fan for life!

4.5 stars Emma Chase’s Legal Briefs series has been fun, full of humor, steamy and full of heart. Appealed was a fantastic way to conclude this wonderful series. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again- Emma Chase writes the male POV like no other author. She excels at it. Appealed is written completely from Brent’s perspective and I couldn't be happier about that. Appealed is written completely from Brent’s perspective and I couldn't be happier about that. Brent and Kennedy’s story starts much earlier than when they find themselves together, against one another in court. They used to be best friends when they were younger. Things happened. They lost touch. But one thing is for certain. Brent never forgot about Kennedy. She has always been there, in his mind and in his heart. He may have had many others in his bed while she’s not been around, but he’s never let anyone else in. Both of these attorneys are too stubborn for their own good in court, and Kennedy is even more stubborn out of court. At first, it irked me a bit. Then I found out what had happened to her in the past and found myself more understanding and sympathetic. Kennedy is a strong heroine. Chase has a knack for writing strong and successful women and I like that. They all have careers and back bones. None of them take crap and they don’t let anyone make their decisions for them. Kennedy and Brent’s relationship goes through many stages. At first, we have the past. They were friends, but it went a little deeper. Then, when they first saw each other after all that time. They were more frenemies. They they became actual friends again. And the sexual tension between them was off the charts! Brent and Kennedy are explosive together. Brent wants so much more with Kennedy than just sex, and that is not normal for him. He just has to convince her how good they could really be together. Brent is an endearing, interesting and fun character. I loved being in his head. Spending time with his therapist, his butler etc, I couldn’t keep the smile off my face. I just adored him. Kennedy was pretty great overall as well. There were moments (especially with that court case) that made me not love her 100% but by the end I did. She won me over. This part here… I know she’s a female, but it was such a swoony line! “Do you know what I think when I look at you, Brent?”
“What?”
“I don’t think, ‘Oh, Brent is so strong’, even though you are. I don’t think ‘He’s survived so much’, even though you have. I just think- perfect. You’re… perfect.” The back and forth banter between Kennedy and Brent, the heat and tension, and the love- it made for a wonderful story. And don’t even get me started on that epilogue! It pretty much made the book for me! Emma Chase’s final installment of the Legal Briefs series is witty, fun, charming and sexy. A solid 4.5 stars for me and one I highly recommend! “I have loved you forever… but never as much as I love you right now.”

It’s been fourteen years since they have seen one another. Elle also happens to be the federal prosecutor on one of Brent’s cases and so it’s game on with the sexual tension, insults and humor. “What’d you do to your face?” she asks, folding her arms. I touch my chin. “I grew a beard.” “Well ungrow it. It looks like a vagina from a 1970's porn film.” Overtime Elle reveals the events that have soured her towards Brent. They spare against one another in the courtroom and in the bedroom. Elle was the girl that always left Brent thinking about what might have been. Brent and Elle’s story is fast paced and witty. I really loved Brent, his butler, his physiatrist and his knack for nicknames. He made a wonderful hero and the author does a great job gifting glimpses into past events that shattered Elle and sparked her tough exterior. ”When I look at you, think about you, I can’t decide if I want to fuck you, strangle you, or just hold you in my arms. Usually all three. And if that’s not love, I don’t know what is.” Brent fixes his past wrongs while squaring off against Elle in the courtroom. I liked how things went for his client the hacker (he needs a book) and there is some scary drama when Elle’s safety is at risk. Brent struggles with his fears and these two find the once in a lifetime common ground they lost years ago. The story also includes not one but an epilogue and an extended one which will leave readers sporting satisfied smiles. *ARC provided in exchange for an honest review*

This is a second chance story of Brent Mason and his neighbour and also childhood friend, Kennedy Randolph. These two had a meaningful friendship and a brief romantic encounter when younger that ended abruptly with confusion for both parties as to what they thought went down. Now years later, they find themselves face-to-face on different sides of a case and Kennedy is out for blood. Gone is the girl Brent remembers and in her place is a woman scorned. You know when you read an epilogue that's so good, it not only manages to be the perfect conclusion to the book but it actually flawlessly ties the entire series up. Like you have this amazingly delicious three-tiered cake, and it's already prefect without anything, but then you add that icing that takes it from delicious to amazing? That's what the epilogue of Appealed was to me. It was simple perfection. It deserves 5 stars just for that. But let's talk about the actual book for a hot second here, shall we? Arguing is our foreplay. One time, she was so worked up she hauled off and took a swing at me- and my reaction was a boner that wouldn't be denied. So that quote up there? Yeah. That's basically a literary orgasm for me. You see there is nothing, nothing I love better than a good hate-to-love trope. And when that particular trope is also based on a bit of a second chance romance? I am absolute putty in your hands. Brent and Kennedy were childhood. Their parents are friends and they always hoped they'd get together. And one perfect night they did, until something happened that made Kennedy disappear from Brent's life and also hate him with the fire of the worst kind of venereal disease. Graphic? Sure. But sums it up nicely. Brent hasn't seen her since high school, so when she not only comes back looking nothing like the Kennedy he knows but a stunner, he thinks he can take off where they left off. There's only one problem, Kennedy wants nothing to do with him... And if that's not delicious enough, she also happens to be the prosecutor on a case that he's the defending attorney for. She looks me straight in the face. "I could never be with someone like you- you have the maturity of a twelve-year-old boy." I raise my glass. "And you have the chest of one." So at this point of the book, I'm as giddy as a Bilieber at a Justin Bieber concert. Their constant barbs in the courtroom and outside of it are laden with a heavy undercurrent of lust and you're reading just waiting for them to give into the undeniable chemistry that's brewing between them. And let's be honest, what's better than hate-to-lust? When it's gloriously written entirely in the male POV and I fell hard for Brent from the very first chapter. He may be the happy-go-lucky friend of the group, but there was always something to him that just drew me. It may be because it's not often you'll read about a hero with a prosthetic leg that didn't suffer his injury during a deployment. Or it may be because of his humor. But really it's because when this man falls, he falls hard and he has no issue showing it and fighting for what he wants. Kennedy was such a great heroine as well. She really makes Brent work for it. She's not the awkward teenager he grew up with. She's a tough prosecutor, and her looks are just as killer as her cross examination. I loved the tension between these two. It practically sizzled it was so good. But what I loved the most is really seeing Brent working for it. This is not a man that denies his attraction or his feelings, even though he's never had a real meaningful relationship...nor did he want one. He knows that he'll accept nothing less from Kennedy, though. And even if he has to prove it to her considering their past, he'll do whatever it takes. I'm in love with you. And if it takes awhile for you to wrap your head around that- to wrap your heart around it- then I'll wait. Because you're worth waiting for. You always were." This book is perfection. It's snark wrapped in humor, tied together by a swoony romance. I couldn't put it down for even a second. It's just one of those romances that will entertain you and make you fall hard all at the same time. Emma Chase just gets better and better. Appealed was easily my favorite book in the series. Then that epilogue happened and I was like a pile of giddy goo. It was just that good. ARC courtesy of publisher in exchange for an honest review Find me on:

Brent became infatuated with his childhood best friend Kennedy Randolph when they were in High School. Their parents, who are both filthy rich and influential, are family friends. Brent and Kennedy shared a genuine friendship while growing up but one night they realized that they're into each other. They eventually had a hot teenage love affair. However, certain things ruined their blooming relationship which led to their unpleasant break-up. Now years later they reunited and this time, they're already both successful lawyers. Unfortunately, they're on the opposite sides as Kennedy serves as a prosecuting attorney for the case which Brent defenses. To be honest, I had doubts if this book will win me over after reading Jake's story in the second book which I really enjoyed a lot. But wow, I didn't expect this book to own me as much as the second book did! Brent's story and his hilarious POV didn't fail to make me laugh, smile, and feel awed. It was such a pleasure to read something that has an over-the-top (in a good way) chemistry between the main characters and spot-on witty dialogues that certainly entertained. My favorite scenes were the ones where Brent and Kennedy exchanged sexy banters inside the courtroom. Wow, so much verbal action going on! Apart from the fact that this book was entertaining, it had an emotional depth and more importantly, a substance. There was family and friendship values thrown in. I also loved the romantic build-up which was strong enough to make the story likeable. The characters also didn't delve much into annoying and unnecessary dramas, so there's that. And yes, there were certainly lots of cheese but I love it nonetheless. In this book, I was definitely cheese-spoiled! :)

’For all the girls next door - and the boys who love them.’ I was all in when I read that dedication. The idea of the boy next door falling in love with the neighbor girl is iconic and one that has women saying, “Awe!” ”A simple story about a handsome prince, a good-hearted princess, and their sweet love.” Awe, doesn’t that sound lovely and all it needs is the magical - “They lived happily ever after.” As with any story nothing comes easy and especially second chances. Brent is the guy during ’For all the girls next door - and the boys who love them.’ I was all in when I read that dedication. Brent is the guy during his high school days that all the other males wanted to be and all the females fawned over. Now, that he’s in his early thirties and has become less of the ‘young and dumb’ stage and more of mature adult, he’s become a guy to be admired. Kennedy, the girl next door, was more of the nerdy social circle during her high school years. Fourteen years has passed since she’s seen Brent and she’s back in town for work. Her first line of business is a criminal case against Brent’s young client. The case these two are trying against each other hits close to home for me. It’s about a young teenage boy who feels unseen and does something drastic to get the attention of those around him. His actions were of the criminal nature but his intent wasn’t. It was like Ms. Chase knew my son’s friend who did something similar to the teenager in the story. This is the second book by Ms. Chase where a young male character has found himself brushing up against the law. The previous book had an even younger male who found himself pushing the boundaries with the law. As stated by many others besides myself… Ms. Chase knows the male mind quite well. The second book, Sustained, remains as my favorite Emma Chase book written to date and this book comes in second place for favorites by Ms. Chase. I love the older characters, the witty banter, the intriguing story line, and most of all the male point of view. Thank you, Ms. Chase, for your continued pursuant in writing humorous renditions from male mind. Appealed is no exception, in my opinion it’s funnier, sexier and absolutely addicting! For those who have not started this series, I will give you a little background info. Brent is a lawyer and started his own practice with his friends: Sophie, Stanton and Jake. We met them in Overruled and Sustained. Throughout the series I have looked forward to this book. I desperately wanted to know Brent. He was always fun, light hearted and a bit of a man whore, my favorite type of hero. Brent is at a birthday party at his mother’s request when he is distracted by a beautiful blonde. To his surprise the beauty is Kennedy, his childhood best friend. First, I love plot. I love that they were best friends and grew apart. I am not a fan of second chance romances, I struggle with the reasons for why the couple is separated and usually have difficulty buying into the reason they were not together. That’s why I absolutely adored this book! I loved how they were childhood friends, had one night where they thought it might go further. I could absolutely understand and get their pasts. ”When I look at you, think about you, I can’t decide if I want to fuck you, strangle you, or just hold you in my arms. Usually all three. And if that’s not love, I don’t know what is.” Brent and Kennedy’s reconnection starts off rocky, but I loved it. Kennedy, also a lawyer, is Brent’s opponent. The two have to argue against each other. The build up and sexual tension was hot and at times laugh out loud funny. Chase knows how to write funny and these scenes are some of my favorite. “You have the maturity of a 14-year-old boy!“ Kennedy hisses. "And you have the chest of one.” As funny as Appealed is, it’s equal parts swoon worthy and romantic. I completely bought into these two's story. I loved how Brent wasn’t going to take no for an answer. I loved how he was a little dominating and whole lot sexy. I can’t recommend this series enough and especially Appealed! This one is my favorite, which is a huge deal because I didn’t think anyone could top Jake. There was just something more about Brent. I loved how he had a heart of gold, a dirty mouth and was willing to do anything. If I created the perfect hero he would be Brent Mason. Long story short, read this book, meet Brent and fall in love! "She’s always been in my thoughts, even when I didn’t realize it.” ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.

My poor boyfriend can't live up to these delicious men you've created. He's starting to get jealous. What's even worse is I thought I knew who I loved the most. Drew was always number one, but then came Jake, and there's Stanton, and Matt. And now you throw in the insanely amazing Brent and a girl is just so confused!!! It's really not fair. I am going to wind up single with nothing but your fictional men to keep me company. Sincerely, Girl who can't choose who she loves the most (And totally kidding. Don’t you EVER stop writing), the crazy world of a book lover OK NOW FOR MY REAL REVIEW : “I am in love with you. When I look at you, think about you, I can’t decide if I want to fuck you, strangle you, or just hold you in my arms. Usually all three. And if that’s not love, I don’t know what is.” The third and final installment of The Legal Briefs Series - Appealed (can be read as a standalone) brings together two of my favorite set ups– enemies-to-lovers and second-chance-romance, and I.LOVED.IT. Brent and Kennedy grew up together, living next door to one another with their families being very close. Best friends since childhood, they share one amazing night together when they are 17 before a misunderstanding causes it all to go terribly wrong and they part ways. 14 years later, Kennedy is back, all grown up, more beautiful than ever, and still pissed at what went down between them. Brent is shocked to see her, always considering her ‘the one that got away’, and even more shocked to learn she is the prosecutor on his current case. As always, the banter Emma writes is fan-freaking-tastic, and I laughed out loud so many times I lost count. “I’m not doing this with you again, Brent. You’re not sucking me back in.” My jaw tightens. “Okay. How about you explain what that means?” “How about you go fuck yourself with a lacrosse stick?” Hello, Square One – long time, no see. I tilt my head, like I’m thinking it over. “Sports equipment is a hard limit for me. But if you want to play with toys, count me in.” The chemistry and feelings between them were just so hot, so beautiful, and so perfect. Emma builds the underlying sexual tension brilliantly with each of their hilarious interactions. And once these two get together….let the swooning commence: “Brent…” She gasps, fingers running through my hair. “This is real. Tell me this is real.” My eyes jerk up to hers and I cup her jaw in one hand. “It’s real. This is so real I can’t stop shaking.” “…what if the reason I’ve never let myself fall in love with a woman is because I didn’t have anything to give? Because I’d already given my heart to her when we were seventeen years old? And all these years…I’ve just been waiting for her to come back to me with it.” And then this little gem: “Christ Kennedy, your pussy is so fucking pretty.” She moans at my words. “This is made to be kissed and licked and fucked all damn day – and night.” Needless to say, I loved it, loved everything about it!! It was beautifully romantic, funny as all hell, and a perfect mix of sweet and sexy. I was also SO happy to see the other characters from the previous books play their part in the story, and that extended epilogue? SWEETNESS OVERLOAD. My cheeks still hurt from smiling so hard. As I mentioned above, Appealed can technically be read as a standalone, though I most definitely recommend reading the other 2 books first. Not only are they great reads, but getting to know the other amazing characters beforehand will definitely make this book 10x more enjoyable. I have enjoyed this series SO MUCH, and this book finished the series off just beautifully. Funny, romantic and beautifully heart-warming, I absolutely adored every word! I welled up with emotion during the beautiful Epilogue and I basked in the memory of previous characters. The story is told completely from the male perspective and in first person narrative. Emma Chase is the Queen of the male point of view and, once again, delivered perfection to my reading world. Kennedy Randolph was once perceived as a social outcast, her self confidence took a beating but now years later it's her turn to shine as a sexy, highly successful, competent, self assured prosecutor. She has immense integrity, stands up for what she believes in and has complete confidence in the win when she comes up against her old friend in the courtroom.... Brent. Brent... Sexy, GORGEOUS Brent Mason. Brent is Partner in a successful law firm. As stated in the blurb he's a man with a disability, but this is not the crux of the story arc, it just happens to be part of this gorgeous character and it's depicted convincingly that he lives a full life despite what happened to him as a child. He's successful, courageous, and loyal and goes after what he wants, all the time showing the witty and endearing personality of someone who's easy to fall head of heels in love with. He’s been in therapy since he was ten and she’s fighting the influences of her past. The protagonists were once childhood best friends but everything changed... I love the construction of the unfolding story, the exploration of their youth as we’re given a glimpse of their past offering the perfect snippets to understand the whys and wherefores. The small nuggets of information are enlightening and exhibit the perfect motivation for the reasons why Kennedy feels the way she does. I enjoyed their banter and could feel their chemistry through their fiery exchanges as they come up against each other in the courtroom. I gobbled up the pages that showcase how they give into their deep attraction, an attraction that stems from a powerful childhood love evoking possibilities of so much more. The erotic sexy nature of the book is absolutely delicious! Appealed is super charming, humorous and passionate in the telling, making it an incredibly sexy story with romance galore. I adored everything about it and mark this as a must read for all Second Chance ROMANCE lovers. Note: APPEALED is part of THE LEGAL BRIEFS series but can most definitely be read as a STANDALONE. I enjoyed watching these two give each other a hard time and even more when they would sort of combust together. It took a bit to work through their issues and finally put the cards on the table but it was very much worth it. The plot and characters were interesting. The internal conflict realistic. I loved the scheming by the mommas. A wonderful addition to the series. Safety: No OW/Sharing. Kennedy starts off in a relationship with a OM that she knows is cheating on her. Neither are Vs. No rape/abuse.

Appealed is a standalone and is part of The Legal Briefs series. Be sure you blocked a few hours of reading because once you start this book, you will not be able to stop. There are many things I enjoyed about this one. I loved the writing style, flow and of course characters. This is Kennedy and Brent’s story. The story begins with a bit of a flash forward, it doesn’t really give anything away and I usually cringe at these parts, but this time, I found it really funny and I had to know what led up to the events. Brent and Kennedy were friends back in the day. Brent was the popular, good looking one, where Kennedy was that awkward and plain girl. You know where this is going. Something happens and Kennedy and Brent part ways in a very dramatic fashion. Its years later and Kennedy is back. She’s shiny, pretty and ready to fight in court, against Brent. I love second chance romances because the tension between Brent and Kennedy are completely warranted. I loved reading the flashbacks throughout the book because it helped me paint a picture of what kind of relationship Kennedy and Brent had before the fall out. Brent remembers Kennedy and loves the new woman she has become, but Kennedy is making it hard for Brent to get close to her. I loved Kennedy. I found her sassy, smart and opinionated. She kept on Brent on his toes and I love a strong Heroine. Brent cracked me up and I laughed out loud so many times. One of the things I love so much about Emma Chase books are her POV. I love the male POV and I love Brent. If you are a fan of the series, Emma Chase or just want to read a funny and cute book, Appealed is for you. There is no stopping Emma Chase when it comes to The Legal Briefs Series. It's far and away one of my favourite & consistent when it comes to delivering the feel-good-goods. Having cornered the market on the male POV, It's blend of unique voice and laugh out loud moments, maintain my theory that Emma has found a way to literarily spoil us. Every book further convinces me of her absolute brilliance, not to mention ability to throughly entertain her readers. If you haven't given them a go yet, you really must. Rather than appeal, here's my argument to why: Abundance of laugh out loud moments. Penchant for panty melting straight talking Heroes. Persistently engaging stories. Endearing Heroines with sharp as a tack wit. Anticipation. Emma will get you every time. Love, enemies to lovers relationships. Evolution of the Playboy to Man. Decidedly one of the best reading decisions you'll make. FOLLOW SMOKIN HOT BOOK BLOG ON:

Appealed, the third book within The Legal Briefs series, showcases the second-chance love story of Brent Mason and Kennedy Randolph. Having grown up with their sprawling estates next door to each other, they'd been best buddies until high school. High school, when all the popularity and push of being "cool" seems to outweigh being a decent human being. Brent the handsome Lacrosse player versus Kennedy the frumpy-dressed awkward girl of the class. Throw in a little girlfriend jealousy, lack of communication, misinformation, and their close friendship ended. Kennedy disappears overseas and years pass... When renowned defense attorney Brent Mason finds out the new federal prosecutor in town (and assigned to his current case) is none other than his long lost friend Kennedy Randolph, he thinks a plea deal is in the bag. Who can resist this face? Apparently the knock-out, non-frumpy blonde bombshell Kennedy Randolph. She's ruthless in the courtroom and suddenly Brent cannot resist the never-ending pull his heart (and body) has for his childhood friend. But a lot of time has passed- can they resume where they left off before everything went to sh*t? Maybe... “What’d you do to your face?” she asks, folding her arms. I touch my chin. “I grew a beard.” “Well ungrow it. It looks like a vagina from a 1970s porn film.” Maybe not... Appealed is an endearing, fairly low on angst Contemporary Romance. Emma Chase captured my interest with her debut work Tangled and I was so excited to see this book was also exclusively in the hero's point of view. Nothing better than getting inside a man's head- especially when you know the author can do humor. Brent's inner monologue didn't fail me here. Though not as laugh-out-loud funny as Drew in Tangled, Appealed had its fair share of comedy. Her designer skirt, sleeveless silk blouse, and red lacy underthings float on the air for a fraction of a second, then fall to the sidewalk and street below us. Her bra gets snagged on the antenna of a passing car and waves majestically down the street like the flag on a diplomat’s vehicle from some awesome country named Titsland. Feels like I should salute it. I hadn't read the first two books in this series and this can definitely be read as a standalone. We see the characters from the first two books but I wasn't lost whatsoever. Brent wants Kennedy back but can he grovel muster up the nerve to lay it out there for her? She's a feisty strong heroine that has encountered the worse of bullying as a teen and I was pleasantly happy to see she didn't cow down to Brent within the courtroom or the bedroom. He had to earn it and earn it he did. So if you're looking for a book that's fairly light-hearted, reads quickly, and will leave a smile on your face, Appealed is a good bet! But while they go at each other during say at court, is not very long until they starting to go at each other in a different way at night. Will they win their case this time or are they bound to make the same mistakes they made in the past? I’ve said before and I’ll say it again: Nobody writes male’s POV like Emma Chase. She is the queen of the male mind. And again she manages to create a sexy and sweet romance brought to us through the hilarious, and sometimes frustrating, mind of a strong and very likable hero. I did miss the “chase” in this book, maybe because they met each other for so many years there wasn’t so much building up to romance, but being a sucker for second-chance romance as I am, this book ticked all my boxes. Had it been just slightly longer (it feel too short and a little rushed) and it would have been perfect. If you’re a fan of the series or if you just like and strong minded hero and a feisty heroine, you definitely should read this book. Rating: 4 Stars. Characters Development: Kennedy was nice. I loved how strong and feisty she was, even when she was a high school “nerd”. Brent was very nice as well, even when he was an oblivious teenager… and adult. But he was sweet and very, very sexy. Appealed was sweet, funny, sexy and had a pinch of emotion attach to it but overall a very entertaining read. Style of writing : Emma Chase has never disappointed me with her male voices till date and she was fantastic with Brent. The ability to give male povs and make each one of them distinct from each other and yet very entertaining is quite a difficult job but Emma nailed this one. “What’d you do to your face?” she asks, folding her arms. I touch my chin. “I grew a beard.” “Well ungrow it. It looks like a vagina from a 1970's porn film.” Characters : Emma Chase always create characters who can stand up to each other. Both Brent and Kennedy are lawyers which means very smart and each time they had their banter, I was there with my kindle in one hand and popcorn in the other one. Favorite Part : I had a few – The first one was when Brent takes Kennedy in his arms and runs away. (I cannot reveal more or else it’ll be a spoiler but I was cheering them from the screen of my kindle). And my second favourite part was the extended epilogue! What did not work? So, if I loved this book so much, why only 4 stars? It’s because even though the character knew each other since childhood, I felt like they became a couple too quickly in the book. Then second thing was that they were too many sex scenes for such a short read! Similar books? - Recommended : Obviously, this one is a must read. It was funny and sexy and very entertaining. Emma Chase has never disappointed me till date with her male voices. Click On The Color Splashes To Join Me ;)

They both grew up right next door to each other and became fast friends. Unfortunately, as they grew older, their paths diverged a little bit. Brent became the quintessential popular jock, while Kennedy remained awkward and was relegated to the sidelines. This changed their friendship drastically, creating a distance between them that hadn't been there before. Add in some mean jealous girls and you have a recipe for heartbreak. While I do think Brent had some feelings for her, he was, I believe too immature to do the right thing then. Fast forward to years later. Brent is now a successful defense attorney and has his own successful practice with his friends. Unbeknownst to Brent, Kennedy also became a successful lawyer except that she works for the prosecutor and Brent's opponent in a case. This brought Kennedy and Brent back together except that this time, Kennedy was tougher and in no mood for a reconciliation with Brent. Emma Chase can be counted on to deliver not only the laughs but the banter as well as some scorching sexy times, and Appealed again proves that. You can't help but fall for Brent. We know him as the easy going rich boy who lacks for nothing. In Appealed, Emma Chase showed us two sides to Brent: the sensitive boy who suffered a terrible accident and the tenaciously loyal man who will do anything he can for his friends and for the woman he loves. Kennedy is the perfect foil for Brent's easy going charm. She's tough, prickly but hiding sensitive side. One that she shows only to her closest friends and family. I understood her anger and hostility towards Brent and sympathize with her. The only thing that really bothered me with this book was the conflict towards the end that was too easily and too neatly resolved. I get that this was a fun and lighthearted read and going in that direction would be too much and that's probably why it was glossed over but I wasn't entirely satisfied with it. I did love the extended epilogue though. Seeing the other two couples along with Brent and Kennedy years into the future was truly an awesome way to close out the series. I loved the book and didn't need the first to understand the second; I feel the same is true with this. If anything, all that will happen is your desire to have more...and go and find these books to read asap. The attraction of this was my delight in reading Male POV. We are in Brent Madison's head from the start till the very end. This man is special in how he is... He has had to handle a physical situation at a young age and took the opportunity to make it mean something... to make it not cause a woe is me but almost a super power. Now there are circumstances which have made this possibly which others in the same situation would not have had...and Chase has laid it out there full tilt boogie... This group of people are at the top 1 percent level...and in doing this we are experiencing people who live a certain life...and Chase also has no shame in her game... because she states very clearly before the book, she thought of this a fairy tale...and it is with this in mind, we start. Brent and Kennedy were neighbors; their estates were separated by acres but still neighbors none the less. Their parents were friends and moved in the same circles and all the children in these families played together with nannies and servants overseeing while parents did whatever parents do. These two were friends...had adventures in huge attics, ran the grounds seeking treasures and just learning all about life as they grew. Kennedy was a pretty girl with glasses and Brent was a striking boy with an abundance of energy...always moving. As they sat one New Year's on the roof of Brent's estate watching the annual fireworks display, Kennedy turned at midnight and kissed his cheek...her young girl's heart listened to her old sister when she said that is what you do at midnight on New Year's to the one you like... Fast forward to these two accomplished adults...both at the top of their game in their professions. Both in their hometown for the first time in 14 years and both harboring pain from the experience they both had during their time at boarding school. For one, it caused a part of herself to disappear...to have pain so strong, trust difficult to give. For the other, it sharpened his defenses to be closed off to real intimacy and not bond with relationships. This is who they are now...and both are about to go head to head against each other like Kathryn Hepburn and Spencer Tracy in court... Side Bar: If you think great banter and sparring came with current films and such... Trust me... the snap crackle and pop was right there on the screen with those two...They didn't have sex on the screen but were caring on off it and it was abundantly clear while watching them... They were in love and wanted each other... if you don't believe me, Netflix... you'll see :D With these two we have a man who realizes what has been missing ...His partners have found their other halves...We are treated to Brent's shrink, Waldo; their sessions are just right and the insights hit close to the bone. Brent is this man who is able to see when something is wrong even when he has done it himself. He is not above saying sorry and meaning it. When he decides to rectify a wrong, he is fearless in his pursuit and it is endearing. He is not perfect but deep down I did believe he had superpowers. Kennedy is amazing in who she is, how determined and focused to do the right thing and be brave. She has experienced much in this long standing relationship with Brent...and her road took many turns which would have cause most to crumble. Instead she was feisty, strong and able to hold more than her own. This is a fun read... really and it went very fast...It presents a lot under the guise of sexy romance and let me tell you, it is sexy... lots to enjoy. Emma Chase just has this knack of making her books read and feel effortless...a true talent if ever their was one for an author...they don't feel over worked or plodding to get somewhere...we know we are on a joyride, with a few bumps along the way... but assured everything will land upright in the end. A fantastic read and enjoyable series. Thank you Ms. Chase. ~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~ Stars have aligned and I must be on someone's good list by mistake... For my mailbox delivered my ability to meet first hand Bret Mason and K.A. Randolph personally. As a fly on the wall, I will be experiencing all of the sparks, banter and sexy times sure to come... ~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~ Oh there is that thin line between love and hate... And where to best have displays of this type of passion than in a court room... For Brent Mason is now on the opposing side of the new Prosecutor K. A Randolph, whoever he might be.... Watch the sparks fly when the He turns out to be the She he has history with... Oh, Brent...I can hardly wait to see what happens.... He was the in crowd in high school and now a confident criminal defense lawyer. He didn’t like to lose, especially not to someone from his past. Kennedy Randolph was his neighbor growing up. They were best friends until puberty hit and their relationship changed. While Brent was popular, Kennedy became an outcast and she held on to the grudge. Now as a successful prosecutor, she determined to give it back to him while he determined to get her back. I don’t read a lot of light, funny books, but when I do, my first priority has always been Emma Chase’s books. She never failed to deliver smart, sexy and amusing male POV stories. “Okay, good. I need your lacrosse stick. I need it really bad.” It takes me a second before I know how to answer. “Is that, like, a code word for my dick?” Brent has always been my favorite from the bits and pieces of him that I got from the previous two books. He was cocky but adorable, and he was very protective of the ones he cared about. I also love that he had a thing for comics – thus my comic like teasers :D She got to me forever ago—under my skin, into my heart— and she’s been there, waiting, ever since. I really like Kennedy. She’s a strong character who could hold on her own. I love how ruthless she was in the courtroom. But when it came to her personal life, she was very guarded due to her past experience. I also really love Harrison who was Brent butler. Yes he had a butler. I mean every Batman needs an Alfred right? Hahah! Brent and Kennedy had a great chemistry. I am fond of their crazy sexy banters. The sex scenes were scorching too. I can’t decide which one was my favorite – the after date scene or the office scene. Appealed is a great conclusion to The Legal Briefs series with fun sexy hero, a strong heroine and a bunch of amusing secondary characters that is sure to brighten your day/night. P.S.: The extended epilogue is very cute :D Standalone books in the series: For more reviews/reveals/giveaways visit:

Losing a leg in his childhood didn’t affect his ability to charm any woman or get into their pants, but none of these ladies could fill up the loneliness created a long time ago when the girl who grew up next door, his best friend and the one he fell in love with broke his heart or so he thinks. And now she has returned to his home town after fourteen long years. Kennedy Randolph is back! Not as a timid awkward girl wearing baggy sweaters and glasses but a gorgeous, relentless, confident woman. This time when she meets Brent she’s not his long lost friend instead a federal prosecutor fighting against him in the court. Bitterness isn’t buried, misunderstanding still hovers over them but they can’t ignore the building sexual tension between them every time they argue in court. (I mean seriously, he has a boner every time she says objection!) Brent wants a second chance with her, he can’t go back and change the horrid past which as a teenager he overlooked but he needs a do over to make it right for her, to stand by her and love her the way he was supposed to all those years ago. While, Kennedy is reluctant to let her guard down, Brent is dead set on winning her back. Humours, thoughtful, off the charts hotness, perfect ending with beautiful epilogue is what made Appealed a delightful second chance romance for me. MC’s were well developed and written beautifully, Brent *sighs* a protective boyfriend, sometimes naughty and most of the times horny, also happens to have a comic book collection??! where were you all my life?? I couldn’t help but fall for him hard... Love the way Kennedy was transformed from shy to fire breathing dragon, the one who is not easily shaken unlike her younger self. Brent and Kennedy’s story will definitely make you- laugh at their snarky comebacks, She looks me straight in the face. “I could never be with someone like you- you have the maturity of a twelve-year-old boy.” I raise my glass. “And you have the chest of one.” giggle at their bickering... “What’d you do to your face?” she asks, folding her arms. I touch my chin. “I grew a beard.” “Well ungrow it. It looks like a vagina from a 1970s porn film.” and swoon at their romance! “When I look at you, think about you, I can’t decide if I want to fuck you, strangle you, or just hold you in my arms. Usually all three. And if that’s not love, I don’t know what is.” *Mark your calendar folks, Jan 19th is when it hits your Kindle…* *ARC kindly provided by Gallery Books via NetGalley, for an honest review**

Brent Mason and Kennedy Randolph basically grew up together, living as neighbours in their elite neighbourhood and always having a close bond. Their parents were good friends too, so they spent a lot of time in each others company unless they were at school, where they surrounded themselves with a different group of friends altogether, which led to certain events which eventually caused a rift between the pair. "Once upon a time she was my best friend. For a hot minute she was more. After that, she hated me. And then she was just...gone." Now adults, they prepare to face each other off in the courtroom, and after fourteen years of no contact, Brent is determined to get to the bottom of this beautiful crazy woman. This was the perfect book to end the series, I love each and every one of the characters within it and Brent was a surprise to me because he was determined and very sure of his feelings, despite being a professional bachelor in previous books. There was quite a bit of depth to this story, so on top of the usual humour we have come to expect from this author, we were gifted with an emotional story too, which touches on topics that I am sure we have all experienced at one time or another. Of course, the steam level is high, and absolutely delicious. "There's too much passion between us - so much feeling. I think she might even love me already." It's hard not to fall in love with both Brent and Kennedy, and as always it's such a treat to catch up with the other 3 partners, Stanton, Sophia and Jake. This is one of my favourite legal series, along with Legal Affairs by Sawyer Bennett, and once again Emma Chase nails the Male POV like a boss. I am sad that the series has come to an end, but am very much looking forward to what the author has in store for us in the future. Appealed is part of a series of standalone contemporary romance novels, told in the male POV. ARC gratefully received from the publisher in exchange for an honest review

I'm sad to see this series go but it was such a fun experience meeting these characters. Brent's the playboy of the group that has the ability to always keep things light and funny. Until Kennedy comes back into his life, that is. She was his one that got away so now he isn't going to let her leave him again even if she's the enemy in the courtroom. Kennedy and Brent were really great together and I loved seeing how Kennedy could put Brent in his place with no problem. Them in the courtroom together was almost as good as them in the bedroom together and it really kept this book intriguing. They had an amazing banter that was full of sexual tension, which I loved seeing. Overall, this is a series worth reading and these are characters that you need to meet.

4 - 4.5 ★'s We finally get Brent's book! I feel like we've been waiting forever even though his book is only the third one. I knew it would be good but I had no clue just at how good it would actually be. Brent is funny and charming and sarcastic and considerate. He really is an all around good guy. And he takes his wealth with a grain of salt and doesn't let it define him. The same goes for the loss of part of his leg that occurred when he was a kid..he's not ashamed of it at all. Brent and Kennedy grew up together being next door neighbors. They were best friends and did everything together but then comes high school where Brent is popular and Kennedy...is not. Brent doesn't mean to lose contact with her but he does till one night they get together and it's everything he hoped it would be. The next day there's a misunderstanding put in place by a jealous ex-girlfriend who doesn't stop there and goes on to do something truly spiteful. Fast forward fourteen years and Brent and Kennedy run into each other at a family birthday party. He can't take his eyes off her. Gone are her braces and glasses as well as her baggy clothing and instead she's become quite the knock out. Brent loves how she looks but he misses the girl he grew up with and he's determined to be with her again...even if she has a boyfriend. (Don't worry, there's no cheating!) Things come to a head and Brent seriously pursues Kennedy. The problem is they did a real number to her in high school and while Brent wasn't involved, he didn't do or say anything about what happened. She's just not sure she can trust him again. I loved how much they affected each other and I loved everything Brent did to win Kennedy over. So I was a little surprised at his ultimatum...not that it wasn't understandable to a degree. I'm glad the guys (and gal) had his back. Speaking of the guys and gal, I loved reading about where they are all in their lives and I really liked when they all got together. They all have good things going on which was great to read. And I would be remiss not to mention Brent's comic book obsession. I just love when authors give that added depth to a character and this just made Brent even more endearing! The ending and epilogue were amazing...and the extended epilogue was quite intriguing. Maybe a spin off? ;) Favorite quote: ♥ "You're everything I've been searching for, before I even knew I was looking."

From the moment we met Brent in Overruled I knew he was going to be my fav' in the group. And if that’s not love, I don’t know what is.” If you've read one book from Emma Chase, you all know by now she does know how to write male pov! Always catchy, always funny, always low on the drama, it's like she's been a male in another life. In Appealed, she brought us readers in the head of a charming guy who got it all. Brent is a successful defence lawyer who's got more money than he could count. He also has a famous name but is more proud to have made something himself than use his connection to have favors. He's loyal, has friends he can call family and who means the world. Though lately he feels a little lonely because his three best friends all have lifes and responsibilities to take care of. Brent has never thought of settling down, but this might change when one day during a family gathering he meets Kennedy, his childhood best friend. “Didn’t you ever have someone that you compare every other person against? This one’s nice, but not as nice . . . that one’s smart, but not as smart . . . “She’s always been in my thoughts, even when I didn’t realize it. The one every other woman has gotten compared to, and fallen short. Things could be easy if it wasn't for Kennedy pissed attitude and the fact she is also Brent's new opponent in the court. Kennedy is a tough cookie, smart, sharp and pissed for a good reason. She's not ready to let Brent in but the guy is relentless in his pursuit. “Brent . . .” She gasps, fingers running through my hair. “This is real. Tell me this is real.” My eyes jerk up to hers and I cup her jaw in one hand. “It’s real. This is so real I can’t stop shaking.” Appealed has everything I enjoy in this kind of book, a loveable guy who uses all the good words to make a girl fall, an heroine who gives as much as she receives ( ... And I'm not only talking about the sex here), a story low on the drama and goes with the flow, a second chance romance....... And we also catch up with all the previous couples which was pretty awesome considering there were ALL amazing I coudn't finish my review without speaking about the epilogue which was perfect to me! It was everything a reader could wish for an ending within a trilogy! Just begging for a little more... :) ~Arc provided in exchange of an honest review ~

Another brilliant story telling from the wonderful Emma Chase! We've gotten glimpses of Brent from the previous two books in the series, he was rich and he seemed so mysterious and then the teaser chapter at the end of Sustained was a scene with young Brent and Kennedy had me anxiously anticipating their story. And then I got lucky and won a giveaway for this book here on GR and I was excited. Brent and Kennedy have known each other since they were 3. They had some touching moments growing up. Misunderstanding and terrible decisions as a self-absorbed teenager has Brent regretting those long ago high school years. Seeing her now has him wanting to understand what and where it all went wrong and what he can do now to make Kennedy not only trust him again but love him again. And oh man is Brent sweet and loving and caring but he can be just as tough and demanding...and hot! Goodness I want to be punished sneaking out of his bed - because OMFG his punishments are of the scorching hot variety!!! Together they are tender and precious and then they have their scorching and explosive teases and touches and fights that explodes like sexual fireworks that is so fantastic to behold. They are sweet and they are spicy. "I want to look at you." And she does-with hungry eyes and exploring hands. But then something fucking weird happens. I swallow hard, and it tastes like self-consciousness. Vulnerability. I imagine this is what women must feel like - if they had stretch marks or cellulite. Here's the thing-I got past any issues with my leg and women a long time ago. It doesn't bother me, and the girls I've been with have been more interested in my long, thick third leg, if you know what I mean. But if I'm being honest-my lack of a lower limb is...odd. It's...missing. My chest rises and falls rapidly under Kennedy's roaming gaze. I don't know if it's the expression on my face, or some small unconscious movement-but she reads my fucking mind. "Do you know what I think of when I look at you, Brent?" My response comes out scratchy-rough. "What?" She caresses my abs, my arms, up both legs. "I don't think 'Oh Brent is so strong,' even though you are. I don't think 'He's survived so much,' even though you have." She looks into my eyes. "I just think-perfect. You're...perfect." And that right there had me clutching my heart. I didn't expect it because his disability is never ever portrayed as one and it's not even hardly mentioned so when this scene came up, I wasn't anticipating it and then it was just...PERFECT! Of course it's not an Emma Chase book if she doesn't make us do some ugly laughing. My mother saying walk with me is akin to a woman you're dating saying 'we need to talk'-it never ends well. "I've been reading a lot recently," she begins. "And thinking. You're thirty-two years old, darling - you're handsome, you're a fine dresser, you dance well - you've always been very clean. So I wanted to know if you are a homosexual, your father and I will love you every bit as much as we do right now." She pats my arm and amends, "As long as you have children." "I"m not gay, Mom." She looks disappointed. "Are you sure?" A smorgasbord of my favorite book themes - friends to lovers, second chances, and hot rivalry lawyers done in Emma Chase's special recipe of storytelling. And of course Emma Chase's ever interesting male POV. The epilogue was great. And the extended epilogue was even better, allowing a glimpse into the lives of the happy couples of the series and their kids. Is there anyone else rooting for Raymond to one day be head of his own IT company and getting the girl of his dreams - Presley?

"4 Brent+Kennedy=Mind blowing sex stars" This was a great reading... I loved this book for the most part because I get to be in the hero's mind (which I die for) to know what he's thinking or feeling...I liked this book as much as "Sustained" although I think this one was more in the sweet and romantic side... "I could never be with someone like you-you have the maturity of a twelve-year-old boy. "And you have the chest of one." This book is about 2 old friends who didn't keep in touch because some "4 Brent+Kennedy=Mind blowing sex stars" This was a great reading... This book is about 2 old friends who didn't keep in touch because something happened between them when they were teenagers...And now here they are all grown up to be enemies in the court...;) The story was funny, smart, emotional, hot and dirty...Brent was a great character sweet, funny, hot and ready to make amends about his mistakes in the past...AND I mean all of them...Kennedy was smart, kind, and more vulnerable and insecure about herself...she had every right to be...because she went through bullying as a teenager...and that screwed with her head!!!But Brent was there to make up for everything he didn't do back then... He was the sweetest... NOW let's talk about how HOT this book was... "You think my c*ck is powerful enough to turn you stupid?" My god there were some HOOOOOOT scenes in this book...their arguments were their forplay! You can imagine how sex was after that...HOOOOOOT...with capital letters! They devoured each other everytime...AnD never was enough... "Christ, Kennedy, your p*ssy is so fucking pretty. This is made to be kissed and licked and fucked all damn day-and night." "Please make love to me." "We can't, baby." "You don't want to make love to me?" "You're drunk. We can't make love now." "Okay. You can just fuck me, then."
