Ah, W.I.T.C.H. So much of my childhood was spend obsessing over the series. The books. The comics. The cartoon. The merchandise. You name it I was into it. So why only the three stars if I loved it so much? Well as time went by, I grew disinterested in the series. I went along with it mainly to see how it ended. I simply wanted to know what the final outcome was. Surely that is not enough to merit three stars? You loved it! I did, but that was because I was a pre-teen with very low expectations. This came before my vampire-loving period, so you can imagine what my standard was like. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not bad books – they’re simply not something I can go back to now that I’m older. Thoroughly enjoyable at the time, but not quite so much now.

I remember this series of books being my absolute favourite when I was a child. My first approach to it were the books and I have like five of them (1, 3, 8, 6, 18) because those were the ones I could manage to get my hands on back then. Later, I started reading the comics more because it was easier to read. Thus I was really excited with the animated series, which, looking back, wasn't a good adaptation and didn't do justice to the series. The bottom of all is that, this books were with me most I remember this series of books being my absolute favourite when I was a child. I can quite remember every aspect of the plot but I'm sure it wont fail to entertain any kid who's in search for adventure, fantasy, school life and a bit of romance in a book. I said kids but of course anyone can read it. However it's specially appealing to kids and preteens because the protagonists are in middle school and easy to relate . Other thing I like from the series it's that you don't even have to read them ALL to understand it because they change of arcs and each books works well on it's own if you get the general idea. Although I would recommend reading the first one anyways, cause it's the best one ;) At the end, W.I.T.C.H. is a goos series of book for a young bookworm or an older one with young bookworm soul. So I'll guess I'll be posting this review on the first and eighteenth book (My favs). And... C'est fini! :D

I bought this one years ago because I was interested in Hay Lin's romance with Eric Lyndon, which apparently didn't come out that often like Cornelia with Caleb, Irma with Martin, Will with Matt, and Taranee with Nigel. A pretty sweet young love, I must say, and perhaps something that I might have wished for myself to happen if I were younger, back in my junior and senior high. I really love Hay Lin and Eric. They were so good together, all lovey-dovey and a perfect match. They were so good together, all lovey-dovey and a perfect match. Though it is stated in later stories that Eric had to move again, leaving Hay Lin and eventually ending their relationship despite Hay Lin's desperate effort to maintain it; they were, and still are my favorite couple in the W.I.T.C.H series to date. Such a shame that they couldn't be like Will and Matt, but then again, young love is just a small part of life that eventually we all have to move on, isn't it? Our memory of it, though, will keep us company.

So much childhood right here. So this is definitely my favorite of the W.i.t.c.h. books, I've read it like over and over again. I have a lady crush on Nerissa, she is pretty much the reason I like this one so much. She does some pretty great stuff in this one. Aside from Nerissa, I liked Haylin/Eric, that was super cute.

I used to like these series. Now, I don't think they're so good anymore. I got up to number 12 or something like that, and they've gone up to #26 or something... and they're still coming out!! I'm not really interested into them anymore, but I used to be.

I loved this series! All of the different girls had their own individual personalities that made the series more enjoyable to read. Also, of course the cool magical powers was a plus. I loved the character relationships and adventures the girls got themselves into.

This one wasn't so good. The author could have done better.
