This book here is the exact reason why I don't like dolls, or elf on the shelf. Definately a great horror to get into the christmas spirit with. Andre Gonzalez never disappoints

As with every book written by Mr. Gonzalez, it is strange, disturbing, and utterly fantastic!! He is an exceptional storyteller with a wickedly wacky tilt.

This short story was very creepy and some parts were downright terrifying! I liked how how each chapter was the days counting down to Christmas like a malevolent Advent Calendar. I was especially shocked by the ending. There is something very unnerving about the juxtaposition of Christmas and horror. I will no longer look at Elf on the Shelf in the same way.

Oh my! This was quite a creepy Christmas story, but I loved it. I read it in one sitting (which isn’t really that difficult, right?) As far as I know, they didn’t have the “elf on the shelf” when my son was a child. Thank goodness! After reading this, I wouldn’t have one in my house! Way to go Andre! Great read for Halloween.

What an interesting thing to do. And elf on the shelf for the kids to enjoy every day until Christmas! But wait, what is going on? You have got to read it to find out what all happens in this story, enjoyed it so much read it in one sitting I could t put it down.

This is a page turner and a thrill ride. The family get an elf on a shelf. They named it Snowball. Strange things occur after Snowball is placed in the house. You will not be disappointed with this Christmas count down horror story.

Another great story from Andre, which I thoroughly enjoyed, although I did not see the ending coming. Highly recommended.

If you're thinking about settling down for a long winter's nap, don't read this book first. But if you want a short, taut, scary ride into a nightmare, then I totally recommend "Snowball". A great story that will make you think twice before displaying your elf on a shelf this season.

Wonderfully written holiday short, that will have you at the edge of your seat. I couldn't put it down and found myself gasping out loud at some of the situations in the story. Well told holiday story with a Christmas elf infusing the creepiness into the lives of a completely unsuspecting family. You'll be missing out if you don't one-click this book. If this is the first time you've read this author, you should also check out his other books. You will not be sorry. I never got into the Elf on the Shelf but if I had, I would now get rid of it. Terrifying and creepy!! But had to keep reading until the end. And what an ending!! Definitely a different kind of Christmas story. Well thought out and well written. I voluntarily received a copy of this book from the author and I'm voluntarily posting a review. My opinion is entirely my own.

A cute horror story. Wanting to make a family tradition with their elf on the shelf sounds like a fabulous idea but is it. Short but outstanding.

The book was okay. I mostly picked it up because I hate those stupid elf on the shelf things and have always teased my friends that they were going to come to life and murder them in their sleep.

It’s no secret that I love a good horror story, and this one is no exception! A Not So Merry Christmas Loved this book, it was a really quick read, very creepy and well written, the characters were believable, Brandon made the story scarier with his dithering about, I felt like screaming at him. I can definitely say *read this*

Excellent story Really good story which builds up to an horrific climax. This is the way a story should be told. If I had any complaint it would be that it was too short. Can’t wait for Andre’s next book.

An incredibly good Christmas horror yarn that you'll have to read in one sitting. Scary as hell, especially if freaky dolls creep you out. Highly recommend.

Snowball by Andre Gonzalez I never saw it coming. Creepy but a great read. Now that I have read Snowball by Andre Gonzalez, I think that I have read everything he has written. AND, I will continue to read whatever Mr. Gonzalez writes. I like his style. I like the way his characters come to life. Pun intended for Snowball. I will never look at the Elf on the Shelf in the same way. I highly recommend you never buy one from a thrift store; you just don’t know its past. If you like different.
