While their father, Fenton Hardy, is in Montana working on a case of stolen gold, the Hardy Boys and their friends meet Jadbury Wilson, a former gold prospector. Frank and Joe are thrilled to receive a telegram from their father, requesting that they join him in Montana immediately to assist on the gold case.
