| Irish dramatist Lady Gregory, also known as Isabella Augusta, played an important part in reviving interest in Irish literature at the beginning of the 20th century. Being co-founded of the Abbey Theatre along with W.B. Yeats in 1904, she gave Ireland its own national theatre. “Gods and Fighting Men” is a collection of tales collated by Lady Augusta Gregory, first published in 1904.
