| This United States Air Force (USAF) manual, Department of the Air Force Manual DAFMAN 31-131 Volume 2 Security: Small Arms and Light Weapons Qualification Programs April 2025, implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 31-1, Integrated Defense and Department of the Air Force (DAF) Instruction (DAFI) 31-131, Combat Arms Training and Maintenance (CATM) Program. This manual provides guidance and procedures for rifle, handgun, shotgun, grenade launcher, anti-armor weapon, submachine gun, automatic rifle, and machine gun training programs. This program is designed to develop individual and crew-served ground-weapons skills. It applies to the entire Department of the Air Force (DAF), including the United States Air Force (USAF), the United States Space Force (USSF), the Air Force Reserve, the Air National Guard (ANG), all DAF civilian employees, and those with a contractual obligation to abide by the terms of DAF issuances, except when noted otherwise |
