Over 300 years ago, God gave the church the best Gospel-centered Puritan preacher I know of in Thomas Boston.  His sermons, tracts, books and writings are truly an amazing gift to Christianity because Boston cuts through the clutter of our lives and leads us directly into the presence of God... where Boston preaches a total hope in Christ.  If you are Christ-centered in your theology, read Boston!  If not, then read and re-read Boston!

This 7000 Paper Page Set includes Volumes 1 - 12

Volume 1 and Volume 2 - Retail $85 , 1100 pages
In the first two volumes Boston writes on the Shorter Catechism; one of the greatest works of doctrine we have. He expands and enlightens us on questions we are provoked to ask after studying this Catechism. What does it mean to enjoy God forever? These volumes also include a teaching on our relationship with God, and how it should be taken seriously in light of it being an intimate matter ("Forms of Personal Covenanting").
Volume 3 - Retail $45 , 560 pages
Volume three contains various sermons along with some of Boston's best-known titles. In "The Crook in the Lot" he attempts to ask and answer the most haunting questions of life. Is there a God? Who is he? The wisdom that Boston shares is both convicting and uplifting. Also included are "The Unity of The Body of Christ” and “The Duties the Members Owe One to Another". These books are ideal for those who want to learn and grow in their relationship with our Lord and Savior.
Volume 4 - Retail $45 , 499 pages
Volume four has 40 different sermons. Eight of these are outstanding exhortations taken from Philippians 3:8. He teaches on losing our comfort and our life to Christ as a beautiful and priceless thing. This volume also includes "The Distinguishing Characters of Real Christians" which marks the beginning of Boston’s series on Christian Living.
Volume 5 - Retail $45 , 543 pages
Volume five picks up where four left off with "The Distinguishing Characters of True Believers," and "The State and Character of Believers." Boston writes on how we believers should look differently from the world. How we should be set apart? He enlightens us on the process of sanctification in hopes of strengthening the Body of Christ. Also in this volume is "The Art of Man-Fishing."
Volume 6 - Retail $45 , 612 pages
Volume six is full of various Questions and Tracts-- a main topic being baptism. Baptism has always been a tradition of the Church; yet it has always been a topic of debate. Boston looks to Scripture to try to answer some of the questions that have many have wrestled with. Two outstanding sermons in this volume are on the unpopular but necessary topics of Self Denial and Repentance.
Volume 7 - Retail $45 , 555 pages
Volume seven contains Edward Fisher's "The Marrow of Modern Divinity" with Boston's notes. Fisher's book contrasting the Covenant of Works and the Covenant of Grace as well as Boston's notes are excellent reads. Several uplifting sermons are included as well. "Explication of the First Part of Assembly's Shorter Catechism" is also in this volume.
Volume 8 - Retail $45 , 612 pages
Volume eight contains "Human Nature" in which Boston exhorts us on the depravity of man. This is somewhat of a harsh wake up call; it reveals furthermore the great blessing we have in Christ's forgiveness. "The Covenant of Grace" is also included and it's refreshing to read and be reminded of the hope we have in Christ. Boston teaches us on how we can't ever understand the grandness of our forgiveness unless we understand the tragedy of our sin.
Volume 9 and Volume 10 - Retail $85 , 1093 pages
Volume nine and ten are filled with sermons covering multiple topics. Subjects range from baptism, the nature of Christ, Christian living, and a multitude of other subjects. Boston describes the Attributes of Christ in several of these sermons. The objective is that by knowing more about Christ we will grow closer to him. We really get to see what a blessing Boston is to us in these volumes; he truly is a gifted writer. His wisdom and knowledge are made apparent through his various subjects.
Volume 11 - Retail $45 , 539 pages
Volume eleven has discourses on prayer—a topic we can always learn more about. Prayer is something Christians become accustomed to. Prayer easily just becomes habit; we can forget at times the blessing and importance of it. This volume also has treatises on the Covenant of Works. This volume contains sermons on Fasting (another important and too often forgotten exercise), and Humiliation in One's Life (dying to ourselves to live for Christ).
 Volume 12 - Retail $45 , 574 pages
The concluding volume twelve is arguably the most powerful. It recounts Thomas Boston's many memoirs. His testimony really is a great and convicting one. Thomas Boston lived his life for the Glory of God; this is proved and strongly apparent in these memoirs. He used the knowledge, wisdom, and strength he was gifted with to further God's kingdom. His life was, is, and will continue to be an excellent example for us all.
